RYYC Prizegiving 2010 October brought with it the end of the sailing season and the end of season prize giving dinner at the Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club. Held for the first time in the new dining room, the Co26 fleet was well represented and left with an impressive collection of silverware. |

Contessa 26 wins 2010 Vernon Dawson Trophy Race The Vernon Dawson Trophy is an annual competition between Scarborough Yacht Club and Whitby Yacht Club, which this year started at Scarborough and finished at Whitby. Joining the mainly much bigger, newer & faster yachts from those two clubs was Contessa Juliet, a Contessa 26 sailed by Jeff Preece & his crew from the Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club. |

45th ANNIVERSARY MEET 15-17 JULY 2011
I hope most of you will now be aware that next year is the 45th Anniversary of the
Contessa 26 and we are planning to mark this event with a meet to be based at Lymington
over the weekend Friday 15 July - Sunday 17 July 2011. We are hoping to achieve a
record attendance for the event. We have an outline programme for the event which
hopefully will result in a weekend which will be fun and enjoyed by all:
