Join the party in Cowes 3rd December 2011
In 2010 the Contessa 32 association organised an impromptu Christmas rally in Cowes that had such great feedback that we are doing it again. We would like to extend the invitation to anyone from the Contessa 26 association that would like to join us for some sociable Contessa Christmas fun, just don’t forget your woolly hat and hot water bottle. |

AGM 2011
The AGM /Dinner is to take place at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club on Saturday 12 November 2011 at 7.15 for 7.45pm; after dinner Guy Waites will give an informal talk on his participation in the Jester Challenge after which the AGM will be held. I am sure we can sort out a limited amount of accommodation for those coming from afar. Please let me know by email

A New Book featuring the CO26 |
|
A Contessa 26 sailing book you may not have seen before, Sailing In Newfoundland and to the Azores by Neil Bose. This is a book of days and moments spent sailing on the east coast of Newfoundland and over the Atlantic to the Azores. Published in 2011 by Neil the book chronicles cruising in Newfoundland during 2003 to 2006 and then a passage to the Azores in 2006.
The Contessa 26 in the book was built by J.J. Taylor in Toronto in 1976. It was refitted for a voyage around the world in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Jeremy Rogers wins PBO green award |
Practical Boat Owner magazine announced the winners of the PBO 2011 Green Awards. The annual awards, recognise the marine businesses that are leading the way in reducing the environmental impact of leisure boating and making the industry more sustainable.
