I am used a T fitting so that my manual bilge pump and the electric bile pump use the same through hull fitting. I put the electric pilge pump on the end of a pole and weighted the end of the pole with metal. I fastened the pole with velcro strips. The pump is at the bottom of the bilge and I cal pull it up if I need to.
