Hi to you all...
I was wondering what your general consensus was as to the use of a gas locker... (for those who use it) how do you achieve it, and where is it best to vent it...
My contessa didn't have one when I bought it, but did have a gas sniffer installed which activates an alarm and switches the gas off via a solenoid. I was informed that this was commonly the best solution as it is extremely difficult to create and vent a satisfactory solution on a contessa...
Is this correct (and safe...)? or should I really be sorting this out (rather than varnishing my washboards...)

Hello Gary
Have a look in the "Secondhand Tips & Spares" section and then in "Spares from Jeremy Rogers Yachts".
You'll find a couple of pictures of a gas locker mounted on/in the lazarette.
