toilet - 2009/06/03 10:20
I have spent a lot of time getting my old SL400 toilet working, with spares from Lee Sanitation, but it never works for long and always leaks from somewhere.

I have a photo of a compact Jabsco bog in a Co26 but can't remember where it came from. Has anyone here replaced their SL400 with a modern toilet and how did they do it?

Tony

Hi Tony,
I replaced my SL toilet for a Blakes Lavac Popular a few years ago.
I think the main issue is the height of the bowl - I think I'm right in saying that the SL is the lowest available and this is why people stick to this. Mine was beyone repair.
I demolished the original base and glassed a plywood shelf onto the hull as low as I could (but allowing the door to close) . I attached the bowl to this with 4 bolts. I replaced all the piping (with loops coming above water level and double jubilee clips) and attached the pump to the foreward bulkhead.
The toilet works very well, the only issue being that the height of the pan is a little inconvenient (according to my elderly mother!)
Best wishes,
Rhys
