The Season is progressing well, with 10 boats in the water and at least 6 racing regularly.

The spring series was won by Tessa, with True Blue 2nd and Contessa Juliet 3rd.

With only the Seagulls on the dock to welcome him, most of the fleet were still snoozing in their beds or getting ready for work, Red Admiral, the 10th member of the RYYC fleet arrived safely at 06.30 hrs on Wednesday 23rd July.

Red Admiral,  is on her way to Bridlington from Plymouth, by sea.

Guy Waites the owner, is sailing her singlehanded from Plymouth and at the time of writing is somewhere between Brighton and Dover.

This will bring the Contessa 26 fleet at Bridlington up to 10, is this now the largest fleet in th UK?

43 people are booked for the class dinner at the RYYC on 1st March 2008.

Steve Wood class captian and his crew from True Blue are cooking the meal which will be served in the club dining room on Saturday.

 This is the first Contessa 26 RYYC class dinner to be hel, where existing owners and their crew, plus potential members wil join togther for a great nights entertainment. full report after the event

The Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club 150th Regatta Contessa class Overall results

What a fantastic week, sun and good winds everyday, hotly contested racing, drama, protests, close finishes… everybody agreed it was great fun and vowed to be back next year.
